Casey exceeded all of our expectations and made the process incredibly fun and special for me and my husband. We were first-time home buyers and we were living in California while trying to buy a home in DC so our situation was a bit challenging and we felt so lucky to find someone like Casey to partner with us from beginning to end.
We met Casey when we wandered into an open house and immediately connected with her. We told her that we were in the very early stages of the process—just looking—and she offered to take us on a marathon driving tour of DC the next time we were in town. From that day forward she was a wealth of knowledge and honest about her observations when we would see houses.
From beginning to end Casey was respectful of our requests and decisions; extremely responsive (via email, text, and phone); very supportive but never once pushy; and she always gave us space to make a decision on our own. When asked, she’d always provide very candid advice and input and we always felt like she had our best interest in mind. During negotiation, Casey helped us think about all the levers we could use and when we were going back and forth with our owner she helped us understand what his different responses might mean so we could carefully craft a counter. Without ever telling us exactly what to do, she helped us feel confident and informed in our own decisions.
We were also impressed with her high-touch follow-through to the end. She made sure we met all deadlines, submitted forms to the right people, came with us to inspections, closings, and final walk-throughs—always making sure we were asking the right questions and understanding every step of the process. In addition to helping us find a home that met all our needs, she connected us with useful resources (multiple mortgage brokers to shop around, inspectors, etc.) and since we weren’t from the area it was great to know that we were in trusted hands.
I’m sure buying a home can be very stressful but we never felt that way with Casey. She became a true trusted advisor and we’ll be calling her again next time around.
